Things are going well for the Norwegian prog/psych/space rock band Professor Tip Top. Exobiology is their third album in four years after Are You Empirical (2011, see review) and Aoum (2012, see review). Furthermore the band is now a quartet, with Svein Magnar Hansen (vocals), Sam Fossbakk (guitar, EMS synthi VCO3, Fender Rhodes, ARP Axxe, Mellotron, Mini Moog and vocals), Stein Hogseth (bass) and David Sundby (drums). Despite that, they still can not be found on Discogs.

Their music is inspired by early Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Hawkwind, Gong and the spaced out synth sounds from Tim Blake. The music is very melancholic and spacey, but somehow the vocals don't match with the music. They sound flat and cold. Also the lack of strong compositions will make this album disappear into oblivion.
