Steve Hackett comes with another live release and maybe this is a bit of overkill of Hackett music after Genesis Revisited: Live At Hammersmith (2013, see review) and Genesis Revisited: Live At The Royal Albert Hall (2014). The Total Experience Live In Liverpool is Hackett's third live release in only three years and most of the songs on this new album can also be heard on the other live releases. So, what is the point? Is it really worthwhile to buy this new Hackett release? I would say yes, as you can also enjoy some songs on this album which are not featured on the other live releases. Take for example songs like After The Ordeal, The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, Can-Utility And The Coastliners or Spectral Mornings which are excellent songs performed in a very special way with Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings and Transatlantic) on bass guitar and guitar. Highlights for me are: Wolflight, Icarus Ascending, Shadow Of The Hierophant, After The Ordeal, The Cinema Show, The Musical Box and the magical Firth Of Fifth. So, should you buy this release? Yes, as a Genesis and Hackett fan you should, and you will not be disappointed. What a great release and do not forget: play it loud!!!

This release comes out in a 2CD+2DVD Digipak, BluRay and Digital album (2CD)!
