The German hard rock/progressive rock band Flying Circus was founded in 1990, and they have released ten albums already. The Eternal Moment is their new release, and it is a concept album exploring the enduring moments for eternity. An ambitious album that tries to mix the sound of great prog bands like Pink Floyd, King Crimson and Gentle Giant with classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Black Sabbath.

The opening track A Talk With The Dead, also the longest song of the entire record, kicks off with a cinematic horror movie-like intro before it evolves into a great prog rock opus indeed, reminding me for 100% of the notorious Gentle Giant, while Opeth and Genesis come to mind here to. A Sweet Thin Called Desire is an almost completely different song as this one is hard rock almost pure, while Greek features acoustic passages and Mellotron; so, diversity galore in the beginning tracks of this album.

And You Run and The Time Machine are again two exponents of classic prog rock music with musical variety displaying quiet passages and hard rock elements with a key role for singer Michael Dorp.

The Eternal Moment is a perfect album to listen to with your headphones on, as you then can enjoy this musical feast in the veins of Genesis, Led Zeppelin, and Gentle Giant to the max!!

Listening tip: The Time Machine!
