Astral Projection is the fourth album of guitar player George Bellas. On his previous three albums you could compare his music to musicians like Yngwie Malmsteen and Tony Macalpine. So this means many neo-classical instrumental guitar eruptions throughout the seventy minutes. Most of the fifteen tracks on Astral Projection are a bit heavier than the ones on the previous album The Dawn Of Time (2010, see review). But I also have to say that there's less variety between the songs; they all sound a bit too much alike. It's not an easy album to listen to if you're not a real diehard guitar aficionado, but if you like arpeggios and shredding to the bone then you'll probably love this album. My favourite tracks are Visiting An Alien World and the longest track Interdimensional Travel, which features incredible guitar solos. Only for diehard speed guitar freaks!
