I think Bandcamp is becoming quite a success as many releases reach me for reviewing. This one is the second complete CD from the multi-instrumentalist Håkon Oftung and drummer Kristian Frøland.

When the first notes kick in (after a short interlude, Over Vidda) I'm directly reminded of Camel. Complete with flute and organs. The guitar and vocals have the relaxed sound of Latimer too. Except for the language, I guess it's Norwegian. This classic seventies prog style continues in the other tracks. The use of lovely string machine sounds combined with the flute give it that extra seventies feel. All cliché's of that time are pulled. And it sounds great! Some psychedelic notes in Jord 1 and Jord 2 make these 2 tracks stand out. The end (instrumental) Postludium lets you hear a more experimental side of this band. I can be seen as a synth experiment, rather psychedelic.

Overall you can say if you like the sound of Camel in the seventies you'll like this one too.
