Rise Twain is the debut album of Brett William Kull (Echolyn, Gey Eye Glances) and J.D. Beck (Beck-Fields, The Scenic Route); Kull being a multi-instrumentalist (guitars, bass guitar, keys, percussion and lead vocals) and Beck playing the piano and singing some backing vocals.

This truly amazing album contains ten songs, which feature musical influences of Radiohead, Toto, Beardfish, Anathema and even Jeff Buckley; especially in the song Golden, Kull sounds like Buckley.... The sound of this album is hard to describe as it is prog, art-prog, neo-prog, pop, rock, neo-pop and lots more in fact as Golden is a kind of indie-rock song with excellent vocals, while the semi-acoustic Death Of Summer is completely different. Into A Dream shows some remarkable guitar work while That Is Love sounds like the musical highlight of this album.

It is really hard to describe every single song, so my advice is just listen to this truly amazing debut album and be mystified and overwhelmed by the musical complexity/simplicity of Rise Twain; a highly recommended album indeed!!
