This instrumental album from the Japanese proggers Tee features a sound that reminds me of jazz-rock bands like Happy The Man and Maneige, mixed with Japanese prog traditions. However, the band’s influences also include King Crimson, Frank Zappa and Kenso. The flute tends to dominate most of the songs and therefore I sometimes get a bit bored by the rather dreamy and Eastern influenced tracks. Songs like Col De L’Iseran or City are just a bit too quiet and dreamy for me. I truly miss the musical power sometimes, but if you like jazz fusion and lots of flute - sometimes reminding me of good old Camel - then you certainly will enjoy this album.
