I’m never quite sure what to think of these ‘quickies’. Curious Things is the second release of British Tinyfish, but with its length of 29 minutes, it is not a full-fledged album. This CD contains ‘long lost Tinyfish songs’ which is quite ironic, because the band has only released one record to date. Probably Tinyfish is currently writing its full-length second effort and didn’t want to use the leftovers from the first one. The songs are not really prog, but more or less pop rock with an open sound and melodic singing. The songs are quite pleasant to listen too, but at the same time they don’t make a lasting impression, except maybe for Why VHF ?, which has more power to it than the other tracks.
